iBoobs: The Banned iPhone Application
IBoobs the iPhone app was recently banned on iTunes by Apple content screeners, see what the fuss is all about. Funny enough, iFart which WAS approved is now a top seller on iTunes.
Farts are in and boobs are out at Apple I guess.
Ambient Music for your iPhone
I recently purchased an Apple iTouch for myself. Part of the fun of owning one is going to look for apps to install and use on it. One of the more innovative apps I’ve discovered is “Bloom”, a music composition machine developed by Brian Eno and friends.
Developed by ambient pioneer Brian Eno and musician/software designer Peter Chilvers, Bloom explores uncharted territory in the realm of applications for the iPhone and iPod touch. Part instrument, part composition and part artwork, Bloom’s innovative controls allow anyone to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. A generative music player takes over when Bloom is left idle, creating an infinite selection of compositions and their accompanying visualizations.
Polish iPhone actors busted
A Polish mobile operator said Friday it had hired actors to stand in line to buy Apple Inc.’s iPhone as the ubiquitous device went on sale for the first time in the Eastern European country.
The company, Orange, said it hired the fake iPhone customers as a way to stimulate interest in the mobile device, which has generated huge and genuine demand in the United States, Japan, Germany and elsewhere.
“It was a part of our marketing strategy, the concept was thought up at Orange Poland,” the company told The Associated Press in an e-mail. “The aim was to ‘warm up’ the atmosphere around the launch of the iPhone.”
In Cupertino California, Apple CEO Steve Jobs was seen at an Italian dinner holding his chest screaming “God Damn Pollocks!” into a brand new 8 Gig 3G iPhone.
In related news Apple stock dropped significantly today when rumors the renowned Micro Manager CEO had suffered a heart attack. An Apple spokesperson declared that Mr. Jobs was indeed “Fine, and resting at his home”.
North American suicide hotlines have asked that Mac Fanboys quit over burdening them with calls. “We prefer that our lines be held open for people who have real problems like substance abuse, domestic violence and the fear of bacteria in Bologna and other processed meats.” We couldn’t agree more.
Phew. That was a close one.
