Holiday gift guide for guys who don’t know what to buy their girlfriends: Part 3
Part 3: House stuff
If you can’t take her to San Francisco, London, Paris, and New York, you can at least give her a set of these recycled glass hand-blown tumblers etched with the iconic skylines of said cities. $48.00

If your girlfriend likes to cook I can pretty much guarantee she will like a piece of Loren Barrezueta’s brightly coloured ceramic bakeware designed to look like takeaway containers. $25-$65.
Speaking of ceramics, this “I love you more than zombies love brains” plate is pretty awesome. $16.

Finally, if your girlfriend is like me and likes plants but has a tendency to forget to water them, The Cutest Self-Watering Plant Pot Ever would make a great gift.

Part 2: Clothing and accessories
It’s actually probably not the best idea to buy clothes for your girlfriend, you’ll probably wind up getting something she hates that doesn’t fit. The exception to that rule is this t-shirt, which I consider to be the best graphic t ever. Who doesn’t like to say things and eat stuff? $22.

Accessories are a much safer bet and you can never, ever, go wrong with cashmere. Cashmere 2-in-1 gloves, $59.50.

And a girl can never have too many bags or purses. Leather wallet, $60. Alphabet tote, £10. Vintage purse tote, $20. Troubadour purse, $180.

Holiday gift guide for guys who don’t know what to get their girlfriends: Part 1
I’m going to go out on a limb and assume the majority of people who read this blog are guys. And if I know guys, you have no idea what to get your girlfriend for the holidays. Whatever you do, do not give your girlfriend a gift certificate, it’ll look like you didn’t try/don’t care. Lucky for you, I’m here to help. I’ve put together a series of gift guides with all sorts of cool gift ideas that, if she’s remotely cool, your girlfriend will love. You’re welcome.
Part 1: Jewelery
When looking for a girlfriendly gift, the obvious choice is jewelery. Here are a few suggestions:
1. Pearls. You can never go wrong with pearls. Earrings, $24. Necklace, $180.

2. Girls like things with their initial on them. This Helvetica brooch ($95) will show her you not only have good design sense but you also know how to spell her name. Win-win!

3. You generally can’t go wrong with birds. Necklace, $34. Earrings, $44.

4. If your girlfriend’s into Hello Kitty, she’ll love this Hello Kitty rhinestone necklace, $44.

5. Whatever you do, don’t buy diamonds. Diamonds are evil. If your girlfriend wants diamond jewelery I suggest buying her Blood Diamond on DVD instead and maybe one of these. “Diamond” paper weight, $24. Sterling silver “diamond” ring, $140-220.
