Heavy Metal 1987: we survived
It begins with Barbara Walters, the year is 1987:

When a form of music that our children like becomes linked with ghoulish images and even suicide it demands our attention. Perhaps more to the point the children need our attention.
Hundreds of thousands of teenagers are locked onto Heavy Metal Music.
Are they despairing?
What are their common bonds?
Is there a message that may be too loud to hear?

Wait a second here. I was one of those dudes into metal back then and I think I turned out ok. The clip got me thinking about my past.
How did my other metal friends end up?
One is an architect, another became a successful movie producer, there’s a lawyer and a detective. I guess Metal didn’t completely ruin their lives, or mine.
We all survived Metal madness.
To that I say screw you Barbara! The kids are doing just fine.
