Fat Princess: Healthy or Heart Attack?
Who knew fat could be fun, or is it? Taken from the Daily Star:
A COMPUTER game in which players stuff a princess with food to make her fat has been blasted by health campaigners.
Fat Princess, billed as a “comic medieval battle”, is due to be released on Sony’s PlayStation 3 later this year.
Players must either rescue the princess or stuff her with cakes to make her too fat for rivals to carry her away.
But health groups fear it could encourage obesity or the bullying of tubby youngsters.
Tam Fry, of the Child Growth Foundation, said: “I am uncomfortable with the concept of the game and I certainly would not encourage anyone to play it.”
An online campaign has been launched to get the game banned. One blogger wrote: “The game would look brilliant if I didn’t care one bit about the objectification of women or fat-bashing. It’s disgraceful.”
The game’s art director, James Green of Titan Studios, said: “Does it make it better or worse that the artist who designed the look, characters, everything, is a girl?”
