VERO BEACH, Fla. – A McDonald’s cashier called 911 after a Vero Beach drive-thru customer allegedly offered to pay for his meal with marijuana. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said the cashier called Monday with a description of the vehicle the suspect had been riding in.

A deputy spotted the vehicle, found marijuana in the car and arrested its occupant, 27-year-old Shawn Alexander Pannullo.

Pannullo was charged with possession of cannabis and posted $500 bail. It was unclear if he had an attorney.

A Sheriff’s report did not say what the suspect ordered at McDonald’s or if he ultimately purchased the meal using something other than marijuana.

NOEL, Mo. — The staff of an auto parts store received an unexpected, and unwanted, delivery Saturday: a shipment of 300 pounds of marijuana.According to Gregg Sweeten, chief deputy of the McDonald County Sheriff’s Department, O’Reilly Auto Parts received a shipment of 13 boxes early Saturday. As the shipment was unexpected, managers would not accept the delivery until one of the boxes was opened to determined what it contained.

“When one of the boxes was opened, it was determined to be marijuana,” said Sweeten in a prepared statement.

Store personnel called 911, and the Noel Marshal’s Office arrived and verified the substance was pot.

The marshal’s office, in turn, called the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force. Sweeten said undercover agents with the task force accepted the delivery and contacted the person who was to receive the shipment.

That person, described as a 22-year-old man from Noel, came to the auto parts store, where he was placed under arrest.

“During the course of the investigation, additional suspects were identified,” Sweeten said. “The agents delivered the 300 pounds of marijuana and two more suspects were taken into custody: one aged 18 and another aged 19.”
