Punch in the Face
I can think of a couple of people I wouldn’t mind punching in the face and I can tell you it wouldn’t take 70 bucks for me to do it.
Drunk filled sleeping man’s ear with superglue at party
Ever go to party, get drunk and wake up with Superglue in your ears? Me neither. Not yet anyway. But this poor guy has. Ouch.
A DRUNKEN party guest filled a sleeping fellow reveller’s ear with superglue in an act of “drunken stupidity”, a Brisbane court has been told.
The Brisbane District Court was today told Ryan Liam Upton, 27, caused permanent partial hearing loss to Ben Ferrett, 26, when a party prank went wrong.
Judge Terry Martin sentenced Upton to an 18-month, wholly suspended jail term.
Prosecutor Sarah Dennis said Upton and Ferrett had just met for the first time when they attended a party at Greenslopes, on Brisbane’s south, on January 12 last year.
She said Upton, who was intoxicated, and other several friends decided to play a prank on Ferrett when he fell asleep on a couch.
The court was told one reveller obtained a tube of superglue and poured it down Ferrett’s pants between his buttocks.
Ms Dennis said another person then stuck Ferrett’s hand to his face.
She said Upton then poured superglue into Ferrett’s right ear canal.
The court was told one party guest then yelled at Upton that he taken the joke a step too far.
That guest then bent down and tried to scoop the glue from his ear.
Ms Dennis said Ferrett then woke up with sharp pain in his ear and immediately went to the Wesley Hospital for treatment.
She said Ferrett eventually required surgery at a personal cost of almost $6000.
“The Crown accept this is a prank gone wrong,” she said.
Barrister Brad Farr, for Upton, said his client pleaded guilty to the charge of grievous bodily harm at an early stage because of his extreme remorse and has since repaid Ferrett for all his medical expenses.
Judge Martin said: “It was an act of gross stupidity.
“Upon sobering up you realised what a mindless act you had perpetrated.”

How to Build a Potato Gun
Some people collect stamps. Some people play the guitar. Others go out and play on a team in an organized sports league. My friend Mike (a respected professional in the high tech industry) builds potato guns and blows things up for fun. Here’s a clip Mike sent my way today, I plan on moving soon but won’t be giving Mike my new address. Too dangerous.
Really Bad Ideas
If it looks like a bad idea, it’s probably a bad idea. Watch as this Japanese TV host takes a ride she soon won’t forget.
Seatbelt Safety is Important
I’m trying hard to figure out why this happened in the first place. Was it an experiment to see if seat belts are actually required when taking jumps on the side of the highway? We’ll probably never know.
